Matchbox Consulting Group is seeking an Accounts Payable Analyst to work on a 4-month contract for one of BC's largest utility and energy companies.
Location: Burnaby, BC | Hybrid (Initially full-time in the office for training, transitioning to a hybrid schedule with 2-3 days in the office after training)
Role overview:
The Finance Coordinator processes invoices and analyzes, reports on, and reconciles assigned accounts in compliance with our client’s finance policies.
Responsibilities:
- Investigates discrepancies and journal errors and prepares corrections as required under the supervision of the Accounts Payable (AP) Manager
- Prepares a variety of recurring and ad hoc financial and performance reports and statistics using various data extraction, computer applications and analysis
- Assists in preparing AP monthly reports including volumes and statistic
- Performing daily pay cycles
- Setting up vendors including updating current vendors.
- Responding to incoming mail
Requirements:
- A minimum one (1) year of financial coordinator work experience or equivalent
- Experience in accounts payable
- Experience in using SAP
- Professional demeanor and advanced communication skills written, verbal and presentation
- Education background in accounting (Good knowledge of Accounts Payable) – preferably bachelor's or undergrad/ diploma considered an asset
