MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Industrial Superintendent role with one of our client, a leading construction firm with a strong presence in the industrial sector. Known for their commitment to excellence, they are expanding their capabilities to include self-performing on select scopes of work. Location: Calgary 

Role Summary:
The Industrial Superintendent will oversee industrial construction projects in Calgary, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. This role will be instrumental as the company transitions into self-performing their project to keep things internal. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of industrial construction projects, from start to finish.
• Ensure project milestones and deadlines are met while maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to align on project goals.
• Supervise and coordinate all on-site activities, including subcontractors and trades.
• Develop and implement strategies to transition specific project scopes to self-performance.
• Conduct regular site meetings to address challenges and ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor project budgets, schedules, and resources.
• Uphold safety protocols and ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Superintendent in industrial construction projects.
• Strong understanding of industrial construction processes and standards.
• Experience in self-performing or a willingness to lead the transition to self-performance.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in construction management software is an asset.
• Knowledge of Alberta’s construction laws and regulations.
