Director of Finance – Real Estate Developer-Builder (Fraser Valley)

This is your opportunity to join a fast-scaling developer-builder with a strong portfolio in residential and commercial real estate. Backed by capital and driven by vision, this team is building for the long term—and they’re looking for a Director of Finance who brings more than technical know-how. They want presence, strategic insight, and the ability to lead from the front.

This is not a back-office reporting role. You’ll be embedded in the leadership team, driving financial strategy, managing lender relationships, and providing the clarity needed to scale. The right candidate will be sharp, confident, and ready to be a key voice in the business.

What You’ll Own:

• Oversight of full-cycle accounting, reporting, and year-end audits

• Strategic planning and forecasting to guide key business decisions

• Debt financing: managing draws, preparing loan packages, and maintaining lender relationships

• Project-level cost control, cash flow forecasting, and profitability analysis

• Internal controls and ASPE compliance across the business

• Leadership and development of a small, high-performing finance team

• Direct collaboration with executive leadership on growth strategy and risk

What You Bring:

• CPA designation with 8+ years of progressive experience

• Background in real estate development or construction strongly preferred

• A strategic mindset, business fluency, and executive-level communication

• Deep understanding of debt, full-cycle accounting, and financial reporting

• A confident, composed presence—equally comfortable in the boardroom and on site

Work Environment:
This is a full-time, in-office position based in the Fraser Valley. While there is day-to-day flexibility, the role is not hybrid or remote. The leadership team believes in being present, connected, and accessible—particularly at this level of influence. That’s not negotiable, and it’s part of what makes this team effective.
