MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking an Electrical Engineer in Edmonton, AB. Our client is a versatile engineering firm dedicated to developing innovative solutions for community infrastructure projects. With expertise spanning across transportation, water management, and environmental planning, they serve clients across diverse regions, emphasizing collaboration and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the Lead Electrical Engineer to execute projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
• Efficiently manage workload and schedule to deliver timely project deliverables to project managers and the larger design team.
• Design electrical, instrumentation, and control systems for a variety of municipal infrastructure projects, including pumping stations, water treatment plants, and street lighting.
• Utilize CAD drafting skills as necessary and collaborate with the project CAD team to produce accurate design drawings and packages.
• Prepare technical design reports, construction specifications, and provide engineering support throughout the construction and commissioning phases, adhering to the Quality Management Plan and established procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in electrical engineering from an accredited institution.
• Registered as a P.Eng. or E.I.T. with APEGA, or eligible for registration.
• Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in electrical design, preferably in municipal systems.
• Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam, with familiarity in design collaboration platforms like BIM.
• Experience with electrical design processes, codes, standards, and preparation of construction specifications.
