Matchbox Consulting is recruiting for an EV Project Manager for one of our clients who are a rapidly growing electrical contractor with a strong foothold in the sustainable energy sector, focusing on electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure.

This individual will be a highly motivated and experienced Electric Vehicle (EV) Project Manager who will take full control of the EV division. This is a unique opportunity to lead a growing sector within the company, from identifying and quoting new business opportunities to managing projects through to successful completion. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical knowledge, project management expertise, and a strong sales acumen.

Key Responsibilities:

• Division Leadership: Take full responsibility for the EV division, driving business growth and overseeing all aspects of EV-related projects.
• Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, particularly in electrifying condo buildings, parkades, and other related projects. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, particularly within the condominium and government sectors.
• Quoting & Estimating: Prepare detailed quotes for EV infrastructure projects, ensuring competitive and accurate pricing that aligns with client needs and project scope.
• Project Management: Manage EV projects from a PM perspective, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Oversee installation teams and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Client Consultation: Provide expert advice to clients on EV-ready projects, guiding them through the process and ensuring a smooth and successful implementation.
• Compliance & Permits: Ensure all projects comply with local regulations, including managing permits, city requirements, and BC Hydro rebates.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with senior management and cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless execution of projects.

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of EV infrastructure, including charging technologies and EV-ready plans.
• Proven experience managing electrical projects, either as an electrician, engineer, or project manager.
• Background in project management, coordination, or administration.
• Strong sales and business development skills with the ability to identify and secure new opportunities.
• Experience with permitting processes and understanding of city requirements for EV charging installations.
• Familiarity with BC Hydro rebates and other incentives related to EV infrastructure.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
