Matchbox is working with a fast-growing company in construction and logistics that’s looking for a dynamic HR Manager to join their team in Surrey. If you’re someone who thrives on variety, wants real ownership, and enjoys shaping both people strategy and brand presence, this role offers a rare chance to do both under one roof.

You’ll lead recruitment, culture, and internal structure while also driving marketing strategy across multiple business units. It’s a hands-on role with big-picture impact, perfect for someone who wants to grow with a company that’s scaling fast and thinking long term.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Build and roll out HR policies, systems, and tools tailored to operational realities
• Define job roles and team structure to support growth across multiple entities
• Collaborate with department leads to develop SOPs and create internal training resources
• Lead performance and compensation planning with a long-term lens
• Automate and improve payroll, time tracking, and compliance reporting processes
• Coach frontline managers and department heads on team leadership and accountability
• Support overall office coordination and culture-building initiatives
• Drive onboarding, engagement, and employee lifecycle planning across the organization
• Manage sensitive documentation and ensure compliance with employment legislation

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years of HR experience, ideally in a standalone or senior generalist role
• Track record of building systems and structure in entrepreneurial or high-growth settings
• Familiarity with BC employment law, especially within blue-collar or operational industries
• Strong communicator with a hands-on, problem-solving approach
• Skilled at working with leadership teams and rolling out programs that stick
• HR education or certification (CHRP preferred or in progress)
