MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Design Technologist to join our client in Edmonton.

They focus on industrial, commercial, educational, institutional, hospitality, and residential projects, and primarily serve clients in Alberta, BC, and Saskatchewan.

Responsibilities: 

• Independently developing 70% of detailing and design development and coordinating with senior staff, project administrative staff, and sub-consultants for the remaining project requirements.
• Demonstrating competency with Local Approving Authorities who have jurisdiction in the requirements for Development Permit (DP) and Building Permit (BP) submissions.
• Proficiency in drawing, providing Revit and AutoCAD support in all areas of projects and for all levels of detailing.
• Providing shop drawing reviews and construction administrative support under guidance.
• Conducting meetings on-site or with clients or sub-consultants as directed by the Senior Interior Designer or Project Manager.
• Preparing space/furnishing plans, design details, and finish selections to support a concept.
• Coordinating and mentoring junior staff and delegating work when required.

• A diploma or degree from a 2+ year technology program.
• A minimum of 2 years of design/technologist experience.
• A strong portfolio showcasing working drawing sets and concept development.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.
