MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking an Architectural Technologist on behalf of our client, a dynamic architectural firm located in Vancouver with a full range of architectural services in residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects.
The Architectural Technologist will be mainly responsible for working and construction drawings, construction documentation, code reviews, detailing, and issues to tender drawings. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in production of drawings through Revit models. Responsibilities:
- Handling working drawings, construction drawings, construction documentation, code revies, detailing, and issues to tender drawings
- Translate the design development and building permit packages to move further along in Revit
- Design site and floor plans and sections for multi-family projects
- Work on elevations and exterior renderings
- Prepared final construction drawing sets that correspond with local building codes
- Prepare full sets of drawings, reports, and calculations in order to get development and building permits
- Communicate with clients and local municipalities
Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years of Canadian architectural experience
- Degree or diploma in Architecture/Architectural Technology or a related discipline
- Previous experience with putting together full working drawing packages for wood frame, non-combustible, multi family residential and mixed-use projects
- Proficiency with Revit, CAD, and SketchUp
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
- Organized and highly detail oriented
