Matchbox Consulting Group is seeking a Junior Architectural Technologist on behalf of our client- a dynamic architectural firm located in Victoria with a full range of architectural services in residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects.

This individual will provide assistance in tasks such as creating construction drawings, producing construction documentation, conducting code reviews, and preparing detailed tender drawings. Proficiency in generating drawings using AutoCAD, Sketchup, and Revit is highly desired for this role. Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the preparation of architectural designs, drawings, and specifications

• Collaborating with senior technologists or architects to develop design concepts

• Conducting site visits and gathering relevant data for design and documentation purposes

• Assisting in the production of construction documents, including detailed drawings and specifications

• Contributing to design development by generating ideas, researching materials, and providing input

• Coordinating with project teams, consultants, and clients to ensure project objectives and requirements are met

• Utilizing architectural software and tools to support design and drafting tasks

• Keeping up-to-date with industry standards, codes, and regulations relevant to architectural design and construction

• Adhering to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards in the execution of tasks

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of industry experience 

• Completion of a Certified Building Technology or Architectural program in a professionally recognized institution

• Experience working on commercial projects

• Knowledge of BC Building Code

• Skilled in Revit, AutoCAD and SketchUp

• Ability to manage priorities and meet tight deadlines for multiple projects concurrently

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and in a project team setting

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
