Matchbox Consulting Group is seeking a Junior Civil Engineer on behalf of our client- a Civil Engineering Firm located in the Fraser Valley known for their exceptional projects and growth opportunity! This individual will support senior engineers in the design and planning of civil engineering projects, conduct fieldwork and construction supervision, prepare technical reports and specifications, assist in project management tasks, provide technical support to team members, ensure compliance with laws and regulations, and participate in business development activities.

Responsibilities:

• Assist senior engineers in the design and planning of civil engineering projects, including site investigations, data collection, and analysis.

• Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications for civil engineering projects.

• Conduct fieldwork, including site inspections and construction supervision.

• Assist with project management tasks, including project scheduling and budget tracking.

• Provide technical support to project team members, including contractors and consultants.

• Ensure that all work complies with applicable laws, regulations, and codes.

• Participate in business development activities, including proposal writing, client meetings, and presentations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

• Engineer in Training (EIT) designation or eligibility for EIT designation with EGBC

• Strong technical skills, with experience in design and construction of civil engineering projects.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to clients, stakeholders, and team members.

• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve technical and logistical issues.

• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and other civil engineering software is preferred.

• Willingness to work in both field and office environments.

• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for travel to project sites.
