MatchBox Consulting Group is on the hunt for a Project Controls Specialist. This candidate will be responsible for leading high-risk and complex infrastructure and construction projects. Oversees cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards. Manages planning, risk, stakeholder engagement, procurement, construction management, and reporting. Produces project plans, action logs, communication plans, status reports, and post-implementation reviews.

Duration: 1 year

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, direct, and monitor project activities for large-scale infrastructure/construction initiatives.
  • Develop and implement project and risk management plans.
  • Maintain stakeholder relationships and provide clear communication on project status.
  • Utilize advanced project management software and analytics tools to manage data, reporting, and forecasts.
  • Support resource forecasting, reporting, and ad-hoc queries.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 12+ years of project management experience or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or related discipline.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office and project management software skills (Primavera P6 preferred).
  • Experience with SAP Business Warehouse, SAP Analytics Cloud, and intermediate programming (VBA, SAS, R, Python, Power BI).
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in utility environments or large-scale construction project controls.
  • Program management experience.
