Special Projects Project Manager
Location: Vancouver, BC
Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and versatile Special Projects Project Manager to oversee unique and non-traditional construction initiatives in Vancouver. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, a creative mindset, and the ability to navigate complex projects from conception to completion while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
- Manage and lead special construction projects from initiation to handover, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams, external consultants, architects, and contractors to develop project plans and strategies tailored to unique project requirements.
- Conduct thorough feasibility studies, risk assessments, and resource planning for each special project.
- Coordinate and manage project teams, including subcontractors and vendors, to ensure effective communication and workflow throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues, and implement proactive solutions to keep projects on track.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proven experience (X years) in project management, specifically overseeing special or non-traditional construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, building codes, and regulations in Vancouver.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and navigate complex challenges with innovative solutions.
