Matchbox is looking for a Safety Team Lead for one of our most reputable and respected clients, a residential and commercial developer with iconic projects across Western North America.
With well-known projects all across the Lower Mainland and a passion for nurturing talent in-house, this is an opportunity for a dynamic, results-oriented individual to align themselves with a truly world-class company.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee safety compliance and regulations for residential wood frame and concrete construction projects.
- Monitor and enforce safety standards across multiple sites, supervising safety officers
- Conduct risk assessments and provide on-site safety guidance to trade partners.
- Act as a liaison between Site Safety Advisors and Project Managers, ensuring effective communication and safety protocols.
- Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports, including project statistics.
Requirements:
- 5-10 years of experience in residential wood frame and/or high-rise construction, with a proven track record in managing CSOs.
- In-depth knowledge of local Occupational Health & Safety Regulations and construction safety processes.
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Relevant certifications strongly preferred- WHMIS, NCSO, Confined Space, Fall Protection, COR Internal Auditor.
