MatchBox Consulting Group is for a Senior Mechanical Project Manager in Edmonton.

The ideal candidate will have considerable experience in HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems with an excellent track record both technically, as well as in project delivery and implementation.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of mechanical projects, including scope, budget, schedule, and quality.
• Lead project teams, including engineers, designers, and contractors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
• Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against these plans throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, and coordinate with other disciplines as necessary.
• Review and approve project deliverables, including plans, specifications, and construction documents.
• Manage project changes and scope creep, and ensure that change orders are properly documented and communicated to stakeholders.
• Prepare and deliver progress reports, presentations, and other project documentation to clients and stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, and develop contingency plans as necessary.
• Provide input to business development and marketing efforts, including proposal preparation and client presentations.

Requirements:

• Engineering or Professional Technologist designation is preferred however not mandatory.
• Minimum of 7 years of mechanical HVAC, plumbing and fire protection experience in design, project management and client relations
• Experience with industry software, such as Revit, AutoCAD, IESve, HAP, Microsoft Office
• Analytical, communication and report writing skills including the ability to obtain information and prepare reports.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish effective working relationships with all employees, clients, colleagues, and municipal agencies.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and conflicting priorities
• Ability to formulate sound engineering decisions and judgment
