MatchBox Consulting has partnered with one of Western Canada's most well-known developers and is working exclusively in search for an experienced project manager on residential high-rises to take on a Senior Project Manager position for various large-scale residential/commercial developments in Vancouver.

Our client is one of the premier developers in Canada, with significant landholdings. On the back of 30+ years of success in all facets of the real estate industry, our client has recently undertaken several major mixed-used (residential and commercial) projects in Metro Vancouver. They are seeking a Senior Project Manager with previous residential high-rise experience to help define Metro Van’s skyline with the construction of a multi-phased, master planned community centering on 15+ high-rise towers.     

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage the construction schedule and budget for each project;
• Work with and act as a liaison between assigned construction sites and various head office departments to ensures all activities meet scheduled deadlines;
• Review plan designs and specifications as required;
• Conduct on-site inspections to ensure construction activities are meeting standards and schedule, and provide recommendations for improvements when required;
• The Senior Project Manager, Residential approves and processes all invoices for customer extras and investigates discrepancies;
• Assist in the preparation and analysis of construction tenders by providing feedback on performance
• Attend head office and on-site meetings as required and keep staff informed of changes;

REQUIREMENTS:

• Post-secondary education, either university degree (i.e. Engineering) or college diploma (Construction Management Program)
• 10 + years of relevant work experience in the construction industry preferably with a prominent general contractor or developer-builder
• Microsoft Office (including Excel and Project)
