MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Site Superintendent for our client, one of Vancouver’s oldest commercial general contractors.

Our client has deep roots in Vancouver, going back generations. They have always held themselves to the highest standards of quality and service. With a mixed portfolio of commercial, institutional, health care, light industrial and heritage projects, our client prides themselves on quality craftsmanship, value, dependable service and long-lasting relationships with candidates and clients.

You will be a strong experienced site superintendent who shares these values. As an experienced site superintendent, you have led many commercial tenant improvement or commercial construction projects from start to finish. Ideally, you hold a Red Seal designation.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a “safety first” mentality on your construction site
• Manage day to day site activities through the scheduling of subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors
• Lead the team of internal carpenters and site staff  
• Perform onsite material and quantity take off and ordering.
• Coordinate sub trade manpower to suit schedule
• Work closely with Project Manager to maintain schedule and quality
• Comply with and enforce the company safety program

Knowledge and Skills

• Ideally 5 years' experience as a Superintendent
• Demonstrated experience in Health Care Sector
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
• Red Seal carpentry designation is strongly preferred
