Matchbox Consulting Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for one of our clients who are a local engineering consultants that work on large scale and impactful projects. They are committed to planning projects around reductions in energy usage and greenhouse gas emissions.

You will be a key player in the Buildings Engineering team and get the opportunity to work on a variety of projects including health care and institutional. 

Role:

• Manage projects and internal staff, providing clear direction and mentorship.
• Client relationship management and primary point of contact through project delivery
• Lead design of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems
• Manager project implementation and construction administration
• Deliver Engineering design documents, engineering drawings and reports
• Manage client communications and represent in project meetings.

Requirements:

• Mechanical Engineering Degree or Mechanical technologist certification.
• Currently registered as a P.Eng or P.Tech with EGBC/ASTT
• Strong understanding of Codes and Standards(BCBC, VBBL, ASHRAE, CSA, NFPA)
• Ability to lead engineering projects teams with confidence and strong communication
• Knowledge of building controls systems
• Experience with drafting and modeling software
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel & Word
• Experience in sales and client interaction an asset.
