MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking an Assistant Superintendent for our client in Calgary, AB. The Assistant Site Superintendent will team up with the Site Superintendent to keep things running smoothly, focusing on processes and making sure every step helps hit the development goals right on time!
Responsibilities:
- Plans and reviews project specifications and assists in developing construction schedules and site management plans.
- Oversees site setup, including enclosures, offices, access, and utilities, and ensures adherence to the site safety program.
- Monitors construction progress, enforces schedules, and ensures cleanliness and maintenance of the site.
- Coordinates activities between trades and suppliers, maintains daily logs, and leads effective site meetings.
- Implements quality control programs, including mock-ups, in-suite finishes, upgrades, and ensures accuracy in trade progress certificates.
- Works with authorities and consultants to obtain occupancy permits and coordinates the commissioning of all equipment.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 1-3 years of directly related work experience
- Full-cycle experience in mid-rise residential construction projects (5-6 story building experience an asset)
- Communication skills
- Dependability/Reliable
- Adaptability/Flexibility
