MatchBox Consulting Group is currently seeking 2 Sales Consultant positions (1 Vancouver based and 1 Calgary based) for a permanent opportunity with our client in the Payment space. The roles can work on a hybrid basis (or possibly fully remote) with the expectation/emphasis to be out visiting clients in your territory. The requirement is for local Vancouver or Calgary based candidates as in person meetings with clients are a key part of the role

Base Pay $45k to $65k + commissions

Scope of Duties
 

• The position works with merchants to find better, modern, and cost-efficient ways for them to do their accounts receivables and payables. We recommend and provide the technology, and all the ongoing support and consultation.

• The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales, building and maintaining client relationships, and achieving sales targets.

• You’ll learn about the payment processing business and its inner workings, being trained and mentored by the  senior leadership team.

• We’ll teach you to sell the our way — which isn’t about just selling a product, but is all about building relationships.

• You’ll make cold calls and generate leads in a variety of ways. You’ll work your own emerging network. You’ll attend events and you’ll get in front of people. You’ll have lots of conversations!

• You’ll sell our platforms — and promote excellent payments, invoicing, and other products that our partners have built.

Requirements
 

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Adaptability: you must be able to adjust your strategies, approaches, and techniques to meet sales targets.
• Active listening skills; to ensure you can genuinely position yourself as a consultative seller.
• Self-motivated and driven to succeed.
• Strong work ethic: maintain customer satisfaction with a positive attitude, outgoing personality, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in the payments industry is a plus.
