MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Project Manager – Governance and Business Change for our client, one of BC’s largest electrical and utilities providers for an immediate start.

Location: Burnaby | Hybrid (Remote candidates can be accepted if the meet all the requirements)
Contract Duration: 10 months
Role overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Project Manager with expertise in governance, regulatory compliance, risk management, and business process change. This role requires a strong leader with advanced project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to develop and execute governance strategies.
The successful candidate will lead strategic projects, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure documentation and processes meet the highest standards of compliance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• A minimum nine (9) years of project management experience or equivalent.
• Lead the review and development of governance and compliance strategies, including drafting terms of reference, RACIs, working documents, and training materials.
• Manage contracts for third-party reviews and engage with governance peers across industries.
• Coordinate with various internal management levels to drive project progression and outcomes.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, risk management plans, and status reports to ensure timely project delivery.
• Provide clear, concise, and professional written documentation and presentations to stakeholders.
• Maintain effective communication and foster collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated governance and/or regulatory compliance experience.
• Strong project management skills, including developing schedules and implementation plans.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills for documentation and presentations.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
