MatchBox Consulting Group is on the hunt for an Intermediate Architectural Technologist in Calgary, AB. Our client is the longest-operating architectural practice in western Canada, serving central and southern Alberta. Offering a full range of architectural services, their experienced team specializes in diverse projects including healthcare, education, civic infrastructure, and sustainable design.

You will work with the Architects, Intern Architects and Job Captains on drafting projects in both AutoCAD and Revit for their clients, in addition to assisting in contract administration while projects are under construction. This role provides an excellent opportunity for technologists that are skilled in understanding the technical aspects of their discipline and wish to continue to gain experience on complex, interesting projects in a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Draft project details under Job Captains' guidance and in coordination with the BIM Manager.
• Generate Revit and CAD drawings from conceptual designs and instructions.
• Ensure accuracy of construction documents through disciplined modeling.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to address design changes and model issues.
• Adhere to Architectural Drafting Standard and BIM project workflow criteria.
• Assist in contract administration during construction, including submittal and RFI review, change documentation preparation, and field reviews.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in architectural technology/drafting
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit software
• Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction techniques.
• Experience in preparing construction documents and detailing.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
