Senior Full Stack Developer

MatchBox Consulting Group is currently seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer for a permanent full-time role. This position is based in Montreal and would be Remote (onsite 1 day per month), local candidates only.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a scalable, highly available application platform within an Agile team
• Participate and contribute to requirements analysis and grooming
• Understand performance and scalability principles and apply them when developing software
• End-to-end feature development from UI implementation all the way through the middleware and backend platform
• Document and communicate clear architecture and implementation solutions
• Work closely with product managers, testers, and application architects
• Troubleshoot, harden, support, and evolve current platform in production

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in full stack/software development
• Proficient in the following eco-systems, JavaScript/TypeScript/Node.js/React and/or Java/Quarkus/Spring Boot/React TypeScript
• Experience in designing and implementing, asynchronous applications, microservices architectures, AWS cloud native applications, RESTful interfaces, containerization
• Experience working with MySQL and other Non/Relational Databases
• Bachelor Degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Development or related fields
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals in design, data structures, algorithms, problem solving and complexity analysis
• Experience architecting, applying design patterns, developing and deploying internet scale, distributed and mission-critical service, separating concerns in a distributed system
• Strong understanding of event-driven systems and architectures
• Experience working with WebSockets, LAMP Stack, Asterisk-VoIP is desired
• Experience working within an Agile/Scrum team
