MatchBox Consulting Group is looking for a Tax Specialist. Our client stands as a top developer renowned for their expertise in residential and commercial projects across several Canadian cities, including Vancouver and Toronto.
Responsibilities
- Prepares tax provisions schedules and financial statement disclosure
- Prepares tax and information returns, payments and instalments calculation, reports and maintain the company’s database
- Prepares various other compliance filings
- Prepares and reviews working paper files to support tax filings
- Coordinates with finance department to obtain information and works with external advisors
- Assists Management with projects and implementation of strategies
- Ensures that companies comply with federal, provincial and municipal tax regulations
- Keep up-to-date and shares knowledge with tax changes and industry trends
Requirements
- CPA designated
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or relevant field
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant tax experience
- Enrolment in CICA In-depth Tax Program is an asset
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all areas of work
- Excellent people skills and strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to multi-task, work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Competent in the use of Microsoft applications – Excel, Word, Outlook
- Proficient in Corporate TaxPrep and CCH Taxprep Forms
- Past work experience at public practice is preferable
- Good team player, self-motivated and willing to learn
