Matchbox Consulting Group is seeking a Field Engineer for our client, a trusted and well-established infrastructure construction firm based in Vancouver, BC known for their commitment to quality, client satisfaction, and providing a solution-oriented approach driven by innovation and experience.

The Field Engineer will provide technical engineering support to the Project & Construction Management Team, ensuring construction work complies with all engineering standards, codes, and specifications. This role is integral to maintaining project efficiency, quality control, and compliance with contractual obligations.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with project submittals, specifications review, and plan preparation.
• Support schedule development, site layout planning, and crew assignments.
• Develop designs for temporary works and perform field layout assistance.
• Manage procurement, material deliveries, and quality control compliance.
• Assist in work plan development, material orders, and cost tracking.
• Support construction management in budget and schedule adherence.

 
Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field from an accredited institution and at least 6 months of construction engineering experience; OR
• 2+ years of related construction engineering experience.
• Knowledge of construction equipment, techniques, drawings, specifications, building materials, and applicable industry standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to analyze data, identify problems, and present solutions.
