Matchbox Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Project Manager based in Surrey, BC for our client, a well-respected construction specializing in general contracting, construction management, and project delivery services across a wide variety of sectors, and projects.

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing tenant improvement projects as well as working on larger scale corporate offices such as additions to buildings and multi-floor plate projects.

 Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Oversee the financial aspects of the project, ensuring it stays within budget.
• Lead and manage project teams, including contractors, subcontractors, engineers, and other staff.
• Identify potential risks and challenges to the project's success and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing concerns and providing regular project updates.
• Prepare regular project status reports for senior management, clients, and stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 4+ years in a project management role managing large-scale residential, commercial, or institutional projects.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, project management techniques, and contract law.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project, or Primavera P6, Microsoft Office Suite).
• PMP or equivalent certification is preferred.
• LEED or OSHA certification is an asset.
