Matchbox Consulting Group is seeking a Project Manager based in Vancouver, BC for our client, a leading general contractor known for delivering high-quality residential, commercial, and institutional construction projects with over 20 years of experience.

The Project Manager will be responsible for successful execution of construction projects, such as tenant improvement projects as well base building new construction projects.

Responsibilities:

• Manage documentation of the project such as labour, materials, and equipment, cost coding, submittals, schedules, meeting minutes, change orders, etc.
• Manage construction subtrades and suppliers, and mitigate issues that may arise in the course of a project
• Work in partnership with Site Superintendent to deliver a high-quality finished product while managing the schedule and budget
• Meet with architects, consultants, and clients to manage project issues and maintain positive working relationships
• Monitor the project budget, ability to minimize project costs through inventive methods and regular financial reporting to management
• Prepare monthly progress claims, review and approval of subtrade and supplier invoices

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 2 years in a project management
• Experience with residential, commercial, or institutional construction projects is highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of project scheduling and budgeting.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project, or Primavera P6, Microsoft Office Suite).
• PMP or equivalent certification is an asset.
• LEED or OSHA certification is a plus
