Matchbox Consulting Group is seeking a Development Coordinator based in Surrey, BC for our client, a construction and development company known for its high-quality services in the construction industry. The company provides a range of services, including general contracting, construction management, and design-build services across various sectors.

The Development Coordinator will be a key member of the development department, supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of multifamily woodframe and townhome projects from acquisition through to project completion.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing project timelines, milestones, and deliverables across multiple residential developments.
• Coordinate with consultants, municipalities, and internal teams to facilitate rezoning, permitting, and approval processes.
• Prepare and track development applications, ensuring compliance with local bylaws and regulatory requirements.
• Support the preparation of project budgets, schedules, and reports, ensuring timely updates and accuracy.
• Organize and maintain project documentation, including contracts, drawings, and correspondence.
• Conduct research on municipal policies, development trends, and market conditions to support decision-making.

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in Urban Planning, Real Estate, Business, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in real estate development, with a focus on residential projects preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
