Matchbox Consulting Group is currently hiring for a Superintendent opportunity in Whistler, BC! Our client is a leading hospitality company that has been serving guests for over 30 years. With a focus on providing superior guest experiences and maintaining industry-leading standards, they are committed to upgrading its facilities with thoughtful, high-quality construction projects.
As a Superintendent, you will lead the transformation of our client’s hotel properties through large-scale renovations and full building rebuilds, ensuring that each property aligns with the latest trends in hospitality design and guest comfort.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the full renovation process on large scale hotel projects.
• Oversee day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring the project stays on schedule and within budget.
• Manage, coordinate, and supervise subcontractors and construction teams to ensure high-quality work and compliance with safety standards.
• Liaise with project stakeholders including ownership, project managers, and designers to ensure alignment and resolve any issues.

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven leader with 5+ years in the construction industry, 3+ years of site superintendent experience in construction
• Experience in leading large-scale renovation projects, particularly in the hotel or hospitality industry.
• Expertise in managing schedules, budgets, and project timelines.
• Knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and best practices in renovation work.
• First Aid/CPR certification is required
• Construction Safety Officer (CSO) or equivalent safety certification is preferred
• Red Seal Certification or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset
