MatchBox Consulting Group is urgently searching for a Technical Writer for a permanent role at one of our manufacturing clients. This role can either be based in Victoria BC or Langley BC. The role is 3 days in office and 2 days on site.
Primary responsibilities:
- Maintain and update software online help systems
- Maintain and update hardware installation and operation manuals
- Create manuals for new products
- Create other technical documentation as required
- Mange the internal document library in SharePoint
- Create informational and instructional presentations and videos
Additional responsibilities
- Work with other teams to develop and maintain training materials
- Create and modify screenshots and other images for documentation
- Work with a graphic designer for more complex illustrations
- Provide editing and proofreading support for other teams
- Prepare English content for translation and manage the translation process
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- MadCap Flare (bonus if have experience with Lingo as well)
- MS Word
- MS PowerPoint
- Basic to intermediate image editing skills (experience with Photoshop or GIMP)
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong teamwork focus
- Ability to work independently

- Understanding of localization requirements and practices
- Camtasia
- SharePoint
- Azure AI Speech Studio
