General Superintendent

MatchBox Consulting Group is  looking for a seasoned General Superintendent to take the lead on-site and ensure our construction projects run smoothly, safely, and efficiently from the ground up. This is a pivotal role, ideal for someone with deep field experience, sharp leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead all site operations across one or more projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met

• Act as the senior site representative—liaising with project managers, consultants, trades, and clients

• Build and manage site teams, including superintendents, foremen, and field staff

• Drive a strong safety culture and ensure full compliance with all site safety protocols

• Review construction documents and provide input on schedule, constructability, and logistics

• Manage site resources, equipment, and material deliveries

• Proactively identify issues and resolve them before they impact the schedule or budget

• Maintain daily communication with office and field teams to keep everyone aligned

• Participate in project start-up meetings, site inspections, and milestone walk-throughs

What You Bring:

• 10+ years of experience in construction, with at least 5 years in a superintendent role

• Strong background in mid-rise wood frame and/or concrete construction (mixed-use or residential preferred)

• Proven leadership experience managing large, multi-phase projects

• In-depth knowledge of BC Building Code, safety regulations, and municipal permitting processes

• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specs with confidence

• Excellent communication and decision-making skills

• Tech-savvy with experience using project management tools and site reporting software

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
