MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Superintendent for our client, an established general contractor that is breaking into the residential sector, specifically wood frame projects. The Superintendent will oversee all field operations, ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with the company’s quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, in-depth construction knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including trades, subcontractors, clients, and consultants. There are two potential sites for this role: North Vancouver and East Vancouver. 

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring the project is completed on time and within budget.
• Manage daily operations, including coordination of subcontractors, materials, and equipment.
• Maintain a safe and clean job site, adhering to all safety regulations and protocols.
• Ensure high-quality standards are met throughout all phases of construction.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Conduct regular site inspections and resolve any issues that may arise.
• Prepare and submit daily progress reports.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, with a focus on wood frame projects (including underground parkade).
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
• Certification in Construction Safety or related field is an asset.
