MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Site Superintendent.

Our client is a successful developer-builder with over 15 years of experience delivering projects. They own land across Metro Vancouver and have multiple wood-frame multi-family projects starting this year.

They are seeking an experienced Site Superintendent who has successfully managed the construction of wood-frame townhomes or condo/rental buildings. Ideally, you are a red seal carpenter ( or equivalent education/experience) with strong construction management experience. You likely have 10+ years of overall construction experience with 3-4 years as a leader on construction sites.

You excel at motivating trades, coordaining with consultants, and managing all the stakeholders involved in a project. You work well with your project manager to ensure the budget and contractual parts of the projects align the schedule and quality. You care about safety and will work closely with your CSO.

Responsibilities

• Communicating with trade partners and suppliers to schedule the delivery / installation of materials and labor. 

• Interpreting plans and specifications, solving problems and communicating errors, discrepancies or questions to the project management team.

• Supervising, developing and providing guidance to on-site team members. Managing daily tasks, and ensuring clear direction is given and work is carried out in a safe manner.

• Ensuring adherence to the company safety program and relevant safety legislation. Performing site safety orientations, leading regular safety meetings and completing required reporting.

• Meeting with customers prior to possession to thoroughly inspect homes and effectively respond to inquiries or concerns, ensuring delivery of excellent customer service.

• Addressing concerns or deficiencies with the project management team accordingly.

• Maintaining project schedules, completing regular progress reports and providing to the project management team.
