An exciting leadership opportunity is available for a Senior Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in Commercial, Institutional, and Mixed-Use Residential sectors. This role is ideal for a technically strong, people-oriented leader who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about team building, project delivery, and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 15+ mechanical engineers and designers.
• Oversee project delivery, team utilization, and resourcing to meet quality and deadline expectations.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in mechanical systems design and delivery.
• Foster client relationships to ensure satisfaction and drive repeat business.
• Participate in strategic planning, recruiting, mentoring, and staff development.
• Contribute to business development and cross-office integration initiatives.
• Champion a positive, collaborative, and high-performance office culture.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in mechanical engineering and project management.
• Proven track record managing multi-disciplinary teams of 10+ staff and complex projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Alberta.
• Strong understanding of engineering business metrics (utilization, WIP, burn rate, margin, invoicing).
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, and Microsoft Office.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
