About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Estimator to join our team in Surrey, BC. This role involves preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial, institutional, and mixed-use construction projects. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of construction practices, and a proactive approach to working in a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review project drawings, specifications, and related documents to prepare detailed cost estimates

• Collaborate with project managers, architects, consultants, and trade contractors to ensure alignment on project scope and budgets

• Perform quantity take-offs and develop pricing for materials, labour, and equipment

• Issue and manage requests for quotations (RFQs) to subcontractors and suppliers

• Analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes for completeness and competitiveness

• Prepare bid packages and participate in tender closings

• Assist in the development of budgets for design-build and construction management projects

• Identify and assess project risks and opportunities that may impact project costs

• Maintain and update estimating databases, cost histories, and productivity benchmarks

• Support project teams during pre-construction and construction phases as required

Qualifications:

• Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in estimating for ICI (Institutional, Commercial, Industrial) construction projects

• Strong knowledge of building systems, construction processes, and local construction market conditions

• Proficiency in estimating software (such as Sage Estimating, Procore, OST, or equivalent) and MS Office

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment

• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy

• Familiarity with design-build and construction management delivery models is an asset
