Quality Control Inspector

MatchBox Consulting is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to support field inspections and ensure all work complies with project specifications, industry standards, and ISO 9001 quality systems. This role requires strong technical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently across a variety of infrastructure scopes including roadways, walls, and bridges.

Location: Calgary, AB

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform quality inspections on earthworks, bridges, walls, and related structures

• Review technical drawings and verify installations meet specifications and standards

• Document and follow up on corrective actions and non-conformities

• Perform material inspections and maintain proper records

• Support development and implementation of quality processes and procedures

• Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors

• Promote and participate in on-site safety practices and audits

Qualifications:

• Certified Professional Engineer or Certified Engineering Technologist in Alberta (or equivalent experience)

• Minimum 3 years of construction inspection experience on major bridge projects

• ACI/CCIL and ISO 9001:2015 audit certifications preferred

• Proficient with MS Office Suite

• Strong communication skills and ability to work night shifts and extended hours as needed

• Valid driver’s license with clean abstract
