Intermediate Architectural Technologist

We are seeking an Intermediate Architectural/BIM Technologist who is ready to grow their career by contributing to a collaborative team that values integrity, mentorship, and design excellence. In this dual-role, you will support both drafting and Contract Administration (CA) during the construction phase, providing technical expertise on projects ranging from schools and golf clubhouses to healthcare facilities.
This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys the full lifecycle of architectural work, from detail drafting to on-site involvement—and who is eager to build deep technical knowledge in a firm known for award-winning work.

What You’ll Do

• Draft and develop construction details in Revit and AutoCAD under the guidance of Job Captains and BIM Manager.
• Collaborate with consultants and internal teams to resolve model coordination issues.
• Assist in contract administration during construction: review RFIs, submittals, field reports, and change documentation.
• Participate in design coordination and construction meetings.
• Maintain drawing accuracy and adhere to office drafting and BIM standards.
• Engage with site teams during limited field visits (a few hours weekly).

Must-Have Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in an architectural firm.
• Completion of a college/technical program in Architectural Technology or related field.
• Strong Revit skills (90% of work) with some AutoCAD exposure (nice-to-have).
• Prior contract administration experience or strong interest in developing these skills.
• Experience with healthcare or institutional projects.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and Adobe Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle (minimal travel required).

Nice to Have

• MS Project familiarity
• Experience working with contractors or Alberta Infrastructure
• LEED project experience
• Interest in Building Envelope design
• Client-facing communication skills
• Willingness to assist with administrative tasks
