MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking an Intermediate/Senior Civil Engineer who wants to do more than just design. This is a chance to work on a wide range of meaningful infrastructure projects that directly impact Indigenous and remote communities throughout BC, from 50 to 1000-home infrastructure developments to community-focused erosion protection and asset management plans. You’ll join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team in North Vancouver with an emphasis on mentorship, communication, and long-term growth—both for your career and for the communities you’ll support.

Lead projects that matter—coastal erosion, water/wastewater systems, and resilient infrastructure for communities that need it most.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead or support the design of municipal infrastructure projects (water, wastewater, roads, land development).
• Scope and plan civil projects, conduct assessments, and support funding applications.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, architects, and planners.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and EITs.
• Communicate clearly with clients—including First Nations governments and federal agencies—on project goals, scope, and progress.
• Occasionally travel to project sites in BC (infrequent but required).
• Balance field work, project management, and community/client consultation.

What You Bring:

• P.Eng. designation and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 8–10+ years of experience in civil/municipal engineering.
• Strong technical background in water/wastewater, stormwater, roads, and land development.
• Prior work in Indigenous or remote community projects is a strong asset.
• Skilled communicator—able to translate complex technical details for clients and stakeholders.
• Experience in contract admin, inspections, and hydraulic design is an asset.
• Valid BC driver’s license and openness to occasional travel.
