Intermediate DevOps Engineer

MatchBox Consulting Group is currently searching for an Intermediate DevOps Engineer for a permanent role at one of our clients based in Vancouver.
Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain platform infrastructure.
• Assist with maintaining security implementations of production servers.
• Improve and maintain internal IT infrastructure and tools.
• Contribute to the ongoing evolution, innovation, and prioritization of DevOps capabilities, roadmaps, and applications.
• Code reviews for other team members.
• Assist other team members in designing and implementing DevOps projects.
• Member of the on-call rotation.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in a relevant technical role
• Strong proficiency with Linux systems
• Solid understanding of basic networking concepts
• Experience working with cloud-based services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Familiarity with container technologies (e.g., Docker)
• Exposure to Kubernetes in a production or development environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Nice to have:

• Experience managing infrastructure on AWS, including provisioning and monitoring
• Hands-on experience with Amazon EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service)
• Exposure to infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform
• Experience working with Java-based applications
• Proficiency in Python scripting or development
