MatchBox Consulting is on the hunt for a Construction Foreman to work out of Canmore, AB, focused on high-end residential and multi-family builds. The ideal candidate brings a strong carpentry background and leadership experience to manage daily site operations, coordinate crews, and maintain quality and safety on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise on-site carpentry teams including framers, finishers, and labourers
- Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and construction drawings
- Coordinate daily tasks to meet project timelines and specifications
- Ensure high-quality work and compliance with building codes
- Maintain a safe work environment and enforce safety protocols
- Communicate with the Site Supervisor on progress, issues, and materials
- Mentor apprentices and junior crew members
- Track crew hours, material usage, and daily site activity
- Assist with deliveries, inventory, and material handling
Qualifications:
- Red Seal Carpenter or equivalent carpentry experience
- 5+ years of hands-on carpentry in residential or multi-family construction
- 2+ years of site leadership or foreman experience
- Strong knowledge of framing, formwork, and finish carpentry
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license; safety tickets like Fall Protection and First Aid (or willing to obtain)
