Senior Civil Project Manager

MatchBox Consulting Group is working with a well-established civil contractor to find an experienced Senior Civil Project Manager to lead major heavy infrastructure projects across the Lower Mainland. With over 70 years of proven project delivery, this group specializes in roadworks and underground utility scopes for public and private clients, backed by the resources of a larger integrated construction organization.

This is a full-lifecycle project management role with a high level of autonomy and impact. You’ll be empowered to lead complex, multi-phase infrastructure builds while working within a values-driven and collaborative team.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret contracts, specifications, and drawings to define scope, schedule, and project milestones
• Lead project teams in the safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery of work
• Oversee all aspects of project execution, including budgeting, planning, quality control, environmental compliance, and client relations
• Manage subcontractors, change orders, and claims
• Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners
• Support proposal development and project pursuit efforts

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of heavy civil project management experience in the Lower Mainland
• Background in road construction, underground utilities, earthworks, and transportation infrastructure
• P.Eng., technical diploma, or equivalent field experience required
• Strong communication and team leadership skills
• Proficiency with MS Office and MS Project; Hard Dollar experience an asset
• Valid driver’s license
