MatchBox Consulting are seeking an experienced MS Exchange Support Expert to join client’s team on a part-time, contract basis. This fully remote role can be performed anywhere in Canada and is ideal for a seasoned professional with deep knowledge of Microsoft Exchange in hybrid environments, particularly in maintenance, support, and patching.
You will provide ongoing support and perform critical updates and patches, including after-hours maintenance and escalation handling as required. This position offers flexibility while requiring reliability and technical expertise
Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level support for Microsoft Exchange in a hybrid (on-premise + cloud) environment.
• Manage and implement patching and updates, including after-hours deployments as necessary.
• Act as the escalation point for Exchange-related incidents and service interruptions.
• Collaborate with internal IT teams to ensure Exchange infrastructure reliability, security, and performance.
• Provide documentation and knowledge transfer where needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Exchange in hybrid environments.
• Proven experience with Exchange patching, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Strong understanding of Exchange Online, Exchange 2016/2019, Active Directory, and hybrid configurations.
• Ability to provide after-hours support for patching and critical incidents.
• Excellent communication and remote troubleshooting skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada and reside within the country.

Contract Details

• Hours: 8 hours per week
• Duration: 6 months (ongoing)
• Work Environment: Fully remote
• Availability: Must be able to support after-hours maintenance and escalations
