Senior Fullstack Engineer

MatchBox Consulting Group is currently seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer for a permanent role with a client of ours located in Vancouver

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, testable backend code using Node.js, MongoDB, and AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, etc.)
• Create high quality, efficient React Applications and tests, following industry best practices.
• Lead API architecture and development, focusing on performance, scalability, and maintainability
• Integrate third-party services and data sources via RESTful and GraphQL APIs
• Build and manage backend services to support modern web applications and mobile platforms
• Ensure system reliability and observability through logging, monitoring, and alerting best practices
• Collaborate with front-end developers, DevOps, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
• Maintain clean, modular project structure and leverage best-in-class tooling and patterns

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience building backend systems using Node.js and TypeScript
• Solid understanding of database design and data modeling, ideally with MongoDB or other NoSQL solutions
• Strong experience designing and consuming APIs (REST, GraphQL)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Experience deploying and managing cloud-native applications in AWS
• Exposure to front-end frameworks like React
