MatchBox Consulting is on the hunt for a Business improvement  Project Manager to work out of Burnaby in a hybrid work model. This candidate will be responsible for the successful completion of low to medium risk business process change or similar projects safely, with quality, within budget and on time by leading project teams and applying project management principles.

Location: Burnaby, BC or Remote
Duration: 1 year

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead workflow automation, collaboration platform enhancements, or project tracking initiatives
• Run proof-of-concepts and pilot programs; assess effectiveness and recommend next steps.
• Act as a business SME for external vendors and tool aggregators.
• Facilitate adoption of new tools and processes via training, documentation, and support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation.
• Prepare project documentation and maintain artifacts using SharePoint and other tools.
• Support operational document control tasks, including submittals and transmittals.
• Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and leadership.

Qualifications / Must-Haves:

• Minimum five years of project management experience or equivalent.
• Experience with process improvement and tool implementation.
• Ability to run pilots and proof-of-concepts.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and change leadership skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft tools: Excel, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, Visio.
• Strong communication, organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with JIRA, JSM, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with instructional design or enablement.
• Experience with external vendors or tool aggregators.
• Exposure to document control operations.
• PMP or equivalent certification.
• Experience in a PMO or utility environment.
