MatchBox Consulting is currently seeking a Microsoft Intune Autopilot L3 Engineer for a 6-month contract role with our Vancouver/Victoria based client. The Preferred Candidate will work 4 days a week in the clients Vancouver or Victoria office. Expected working hours will be 7 hours a day from 8:30AM to 4:30PM, PDT, five (5) days per week.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Autopilot Implementation & Design
 

• Design and implement Windows 11 Autopilot deployment profiles
• Configure Autopilot for Windows 11 Virtual Workstation environments and implement VM workstation specific policies and configurations
• Configure and optimize Autopilot scenarios (User-driven, Self-deploying, White Glove)
• Integrate Autopilot with existing Active Directory/Azure AD infrastructure
• Troubleshoot and resolve Autopilot enrollment and deployment issues

Endpoint Management & Configuration
 

• Configure Microsoft Intune policies for Windows 11 devices
• Implement compliance policies and conditional access rules
• Set up application deployment and management strategies
• Configure Windows Update for Business policies
• Implement BitLocker and security baseline configurations

Migration & Integration
 

• Plan and execute migration from existing device management solutions
• Integrate with current identity management systems (AD/Azure AD)
• Ensure seamless user experience during device transitions
• Configure hybrid Azure AD join scenarios if required

Documentation & Training
 

• Create comprehensive documentation for implemented solutions
• Develop standard operating procedures for ongoing management
• Provide knowledge transfer sessions to internal IT team
• Create troubleshooting guides and best practices documentation

QUALIFICATIONS

Technical Expertise
 

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune
• 3+ years of specific Windows Autopilot implementation experience
• Deep understanding of Windows 11 deployment and management
• Deep understanding of Entra only and Hybrid joined machines
• Windows 11 Virtual Workstation implementation and management experience
• Proven experience with Azure AD and hybrid identity scenarios
• Strong knowledge of PowerShell scripting for automation
• Proficiency in Windows imaging and deployment technologies

Industry Experience
 

• Experience with enterprise-level Autopilot deployments (1000+ devices) including Virtual Workstations
• Previous consulting or contractor experience in similar roles
• Experience with co-management scenarios (SCCM + Intune)
