MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a hands-on superintendent with strong marine construction experience to oversee heavy civil and marine projects, including bridge, sheet piling, pipe/infrastructure, dredging, and marine transport. Projects may involve pipeline crossings and other infrastructure initiatives. This role combines field leadership with operational oversight, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day construction operations, supervising field crews, trades, and subcontractors
- Implement project plans, schedules, and safety/quality protocols
- Conduct inspections, maintain progress reports, and manage resources, equipment, and materials
- Ensure adherence to construction standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements
- Mentor and guide crew members, fostering a culture of safety and productivity
- Collaborate with project management on resource planning, cost control, and schedule management
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of supervisory experience in heavy civil and marine construction
- Hands-on knowledge of marine and land construction methods, including dredging, bridge work, sheet piling, and pipe/infrastructure
- Familiarity with construction documentation, MS Office, and safety certifications (CSTS, WHMIS)
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
