Matchbox Consulting is seeking a Tenant Improvement Project Manager for a well know commercial general contractor client in Calgary. The client is the first and largest B Corp certified commercial builder in North America. Job Description:

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing various projects throughout their lifecycle, primarily focusing on tenant improvement (TI) projects with occasional involvement in new builds. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining project budgets, timelines, and quality standards while serving as the primary point of contact for clients, designers, site superintendents, subcontractors, and other stakeholders. Your leadership skills and hands-on approach will drive project teams towards successful project completion, ensuring deliverables meet specifications and exceed client expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and manage project activities from initiation to completion.
  • Maintain accountability for project budget, costs, and timelines, providing accurate monthly forecasts.
  • Act as the primary liaison between clients, designers, site superintendents, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Organize project teams into suitable workgroups and guide them through project efforts to produce deliverables according to specifications.

Qualifications:

  • 2+years of direct work experience in a project role for a mid-size to large general contractor.
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in engineering, construction management, or related discipline (or equivalent education and experience).
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate project teams.
  • Flexible availability for occasional travel to project sites.
