MatchBox Consulting Group is on the hunt for a Transmission Civil Engineer. This candidate must be a professional engineer or geoscientist responsible for delivering innovative engineering, planning, and quality management services for medium to high complexity transmission line projects and operations. The role involves developing safe engineering solutions, resolving complex design and field engineering challenges, and providing guidance to support successful project completion on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.

Contract: 1 year

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and review designs, perform analyses, and interpret engineering specifications for transmission line and related facilities.

• Prepare project documentation and deliverables, including evaluation reports, specifications, proposals, calculations, and design packages.

• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and review of designs prepared by others.

• Undertake structural and foundation design for overhead lines, underground cable facilities, submarine cables, and telecommunication structures.

• Conduct field reviews, provide technical assistance on-site, and ensure compliance with engineering standards.

• Manage design tasks, including scope, schedule, and coordination with project teams.

Must Haves:

• Valid Class 5 Driver's License in BC

• Willingness to travel to construction sites in urban and remote areas

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering

• P.Eng

Nice to Have:

• Experience with transmission line structural and geotechnical design

• Experience with transmission line foundation design
