Our downtown Vancouver based professional services client is urgently seeking a IT Support Analyst (Tier 1) for a 3-month contract opportunity (possibility of extension). This is a 5 days per week in office role based in downtown Vancouver
We are seeking an IT Support Analyst (Tier 1) to join our team on a 3-month contract basis, with the potential for extension. This role is 100% on-site in downtown Vancouver and will provide frontline technical support to end users across the organization. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, technically capable in a Windows environment, and comfortable providing both deskside and virtual support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 technical support for hardware, software, and peripheral-related issues
- Serve as the first point of contact for IT support requests and triage incoming tickets using JIRA
- Deliver deskside and virtual support to end users, including troubleshooting laptops and peripherals
- Diagnose and resolve common Windows OS, Microsoft Suite, and application issues
- Perform user account administration, including password resets and access management
- Escalate unresolved or complex issues to Tier 2/3 support teams as needed
- Document incidents, resolutions, and procedures accurately within the ticketing system
- Maintain a high level of customer service and clear communication with end users
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in a Tier 1 IT Support or Help Desk role
- Strong working knowledge of Windows environments
- Experience supporting laptops, desktops, and peripherals (monitors, keyboards, docking stations, printers, etc.)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.)
- Experience with ticketing systems, preferably JIRA
- Basic experience with account administration (e.g., Active Directory or similar tools)
- Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills
Nice to Have
- Previous experience working in a professional services firm
- Experience supporting users in an on-site corporate environment
- Prior deskside support experience in a fast-paced setting
- Ability to manage multiple tickets and competing priorities effectively
Work Environment
- On-site role, 5 days per week in downtown Vancouver
- Collaborative IT team environment with frequent end-user interaction
