MatchBox Consulting is on the hunt for a Transmission Station Engineer. The Engineer applies professional engineering expertise to deliver medium-complexity projects and operational support safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards. The role involves engineering design, analysis, problem resolution, planning, estimating, and quality management, with independent decision-making and guidance to other engineering professionals.

Contract: 1 year

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop safe engineering solutions, including design, analysis, problem-solving, and interpretation of specifications for medium-complexity projects.

• Support project and operations management to meet safety, cost, quality, and schedule objectives.

• Resolve complex technical and field engineering challenges independently.

• Contribute to the development of technical standards and safe engineering practices.

• Ensure proper documentation retention in accordance with regulatory and professional standards.

Qualifications:

• Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng) with a valid Permit to Practice in BC or eligible for registration.

• Familiarity with CAD systems, standard industry design/analysis software, and intermediate MS Office skills.

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license and ability to travel to sites across BC.

• Strong written and spoken English skills for professional environments.

• Previous utility experience or familiarity with Inventor software is an asset.
