Matchbox Consulting Group is seeking a Contract Professional to work on a 2-year contract with high renewal potential for one of BC's largest utility and clean energy companies. In this role, you’ll manage consultants under EPC & EPDC contracts, primarily focused on Generation, Transmission, and Distribution projects, ensuring contracts are executed effectively, risks are managed, and supplier performance meets expectations.

This is a hybrid position based out of our client's Burnaby, BC office. No remote candidates will be considered. 

Key Responsibilities

• Perform contract management activities using expert knowledge of contract management practices while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

• Monitor contract performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize risk and maximize supplier outcomes.

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders through clear communication, issue resolution, and reporting.

• Forecast, monitor, and report on contract usage to ensure compliance with organizational policies and budget requirements.

• Provide guidance to client groups on sourcing, procurement, and management of goods and services contracts using expert knowledge of contract management principles.

• Conduct analytics, develop strategies, and advise senior management and stakeholders on contract delivery models and related issues.

• May act as representative on Master Services Agreements to ensure contracts are executed according to terms and financial policies.

Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of contract management experience, ideally with high-value engineering design contracts.

• Strong internal and external stakeholder engagement and management experience.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Economics, Engineering, or related discipline.

• Certificate in Project Management, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent is an asset.

• Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Advanced written and spoken English skills.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with project management, including development and management of departmental KPIs.

• Experience with complex contract negotiations and dispute resolution.

• Experience with SAP.
